Welding Hub for Clamp Connector Type WGL and WEGL
Principle
The EMCO welding hub is welded into the pipeline without any other additional parts. The welding hub, the EMCO thermowell type TGL and clamps, studs and nuts form a clamp connector assembly.
Construction
The welding hub is manufactured in one piece and the construction insures that the strength around the bore is maintained.
In order to match the pipe outer diameter the base of each hub can be profiled.
EMCO welding hubs are manufactured according to NACE MR-01-75.
Product specifications
Types :WGL is for straight pipe and type WEGL is for elbow mounting
- Material :AISI 316, 254 SMO, A105N, A350-LF2 and other materials on request
- Hub connector size :1½" GR14, 2" GR14, 2" GR20
Installation
Position the EMCO welding hub over the pre drilled Ø25 mm hole in the pipe run. The profiled hub will allign itself in the right position.
An approved method of welding is to be used. It is recommended to fix the hub to the pipe by 4 spot welds.
Advantages
EMCO welding hubs offer savings in cost and weight compared with standard flange assembly.
